Guidelines
Timing
Show length requirements will be five (5) minutes minimum and ten (10) minutes maximum. Each band will be permitted an on field warm-up provided it does not cause them to use more that their allotted field time. When the band has assumed its starting position and the drum major has assumed himself/herself facing the press box, the announcer will state, “Is the…band ready for competition?” When the announcer receives a salute from the drum major, he will state…band you may take the field for competition!” The timekeeper will begin timing the show upon the first note of music and will cease timing upon the last note. Exiting the field is not considered part of the drill. Bands must exit to the adjudicator’s right. Bands will be announced by the official contest announcer.
Electronic Equipment
Bands using electronic equipment may supply their own battery pack, or electronic generator. There are outlets on the field and may by used if requested. However, we cannot guarantee that they will always work properly. Each participating band must provide extension cords.
Guides
Each Band will be assigned guides who will assist in providing prompt and accurate answers to questions which may arise and will help each band in meeting the exact times for warm-up, staging and performance.
