RATINGS

Rating will be determined by Olympic style judging using a panel of five band judges, one percussion judge, one color guard judge, one majorette/drill team judge and one drum major judge. Each judge will rate the performance on a 100-point scale. The highest and lowest band judges’ scores will be thrown out and the remaining three band judges’ scores will be averaged for the band’s final score.

The following scale will be used to determine the ratings:

Superior            80-100         I                              Music                     40%

Excellent           60-79.9        II                             Marching                35%

Good                0-59.9         III                             General Effect         25%

In the event of a tie, the average of the music scores will be used to determine placement.
